This Bring-Your-Own-Instrument event has become quite popular in the past couple of years. Musicians and singers alike are welcome to meet in the Rec Room. Grab your instrument and join in!

Saturday, May 26th

9:00 – 10:00 Zumba-style Dance Hour (Tentative)
Meet Mackenzie in the Rec Room to start your day with a little cardio.
10:30 Tie Dye
It’s back! It’s time for Boone KOA’s most popular craft activity. Meet Lindsay behind the General Store to express your creative side. Visit the bottom of this page for more information or to sign up.**
1:00 Hay Ride
Meet in front of the KOA office for a scenic hay ride to the top of Jont Brown Road. Once at the top, visit an old cemetery or take in the wide open spaces of the Harmony Mountain. Views from the top are impeccable, so be sure to bring your camera, along with tennis shoes for exploring at the top.
3:30 Ice Cream Social
Who doesn’t love free ice cream? Meet in the General Store for chocolate or vanilla ice cream with all the fixin’s!

7:00 BINGO
B-I-N-G-O! Meet in the Rec Room for a classic game night. Cards are 25 cents each, and winners of each round will get a prize! All proceeds go to KOA Care Camps, a summer camp program for children with cancer.

Sunday, May 27th

3:00 Arts & Crafts – Terra Cotta Pots
Due to the popularity of this event, we are giving folks another chance to start their own garden! Paint a pot for a family member or use as decoration all year long. A $2 donation will get a 4 ½” pot, all the paint colors you can dream of, potting soil, and a flower of your choosing. All proceeds go to KOA Care Camps.
5:30 Hot Dog Cookout
Join the KOA Staff in the Rec Room for hot dogs and all the fixin’s, baked beans, slaw, and (of course) sweet tea. This event is free, but donations are graciously accepted for KOA Care Camps.

7:00 – 9:00 Linville Creek Bluegrass
This local bluegrass band has been to the Boone KOA many times and has yet to disappoint. If the weather is pleasant, the concert will be held on the lawn in front of the KOA building. Bring a chair and enjoy the sunset to some bluegrass favorites.

*The Tie Dye, Hay Ride, and Linville Creek Bluegrass outdoor concert events are weather depending. Cross your fingers for sunny skies!

**For Participation in TIE DYE event:
- We will be selling white 12”x12” bandanas made from 100% natural cotton for $5 each
- Cost is $3 if you bring your own Tie Dye item (such as a T-shirt or bandana). Item must be 100% cotton, because synthetic materials do not hold dye as well.

                Number of tie dyers:

About Us

My photo
Boone KOA opened in 1973. We have a beatuiful peaceful campground at almost 4000 ft. in elevation. Come stay with us and enjoy cool summer breezes (avg. summer temp. 73). This makes for great evenings to enjoy your campfire with your family-roast a few hotdogs or marshmallows - make smores - or just enjoy watching the flickering flames of your fire. You might even hear someone strumming a guitar or maybe that will be you. There are some wonderful views for your to enjoy if you are out strolling around the campground. There is so much to see and do in the area. You can enjoy a challenging hike or a laid back car ride down by the river (also a gret place to ride your bicycle). Check out our website at www.boonekoa.com for tons of ideas on things to do in the Boone area. We would love to visit with you this summer. we appreciate our guests and always enjoy seeing our friends return. We want to help you have the best camping experience possible.
