Memorial Day weekend is here, and just in case we don't have enough fun activities planned...we've added another!!

Hotdog Cookout for KOA Care Camps

The KOA staff will be serving hotdogs with all the fixins to raise money for the 

KOA Care Camps Program for children with cancer.

Join us in the Rec Room @ 7:00pm Sunday, May 30th (during the Live Music)

Donations are not required, but are graciously accepted. :-) 

Fixins include chili, coleslaw, condiments, decaf coffee and Southern Sweet Tea (of course).

Memorial Day Festivities

                                                    

The Mother's Day weekend and the 2010 KOA Come Kamp &Care With Us event was a complete success this year.  Thanks to everyone who came out and camped with us.  We hope to see you again very soon!

Find those bathing suits and dust off those goggles: The KOA pool is OPEN for summer!  Can't stand the heat? Come camp with us and lay out by the pool all day long.  Hours of operation: 9:00am - 8:00pm

As you know, Memorial Day is coming up and we have tons of fun activities planned for the weekend (May 28-31):

Saturday May 29th: 

• Scavenger Hunt @ 10:00am - Meet in front of the KOA office, great for adults and kids, and complete with prizes for the faster hunter!
• Arts and Crafts @ 12:00pm - Join KOA staffer Lindsay to make Popsicle Stick American Flags and enjoy puzzles, Memorial Day Word Searches, and more!  Some adult supervision is needed.
• Nature Hike @ 2:00pm - Enjoy a relaxing, medium-paced afternoon hike through the local area.  Terrain is moderate with a steeper section at the end of the hike, and hiking shoes or tennis shoes are required.  Great views and an old homestead are a few of the sites along the way.  All ages welcome!
• Ice Cream Social @ 4:00pm - What's better than satisfying your sweet tooth after a day of fun-packed action?  Meet in the KOA office for FREE icecream.

Sunday May 30th: 

• Live Music @ 7:00pm - Local band Leftover Bluegrass will be joining us for some traditional bluegrass music.  Be sure to sing along if you know the words!

Greetings Kampers!  Welcome to the 2010 camping season at the Boone KOA.  We have lots of fun stuff planned for this summer, such as nature hikes, arts & crafts, scavenger hunts, live music and entertainment, and much more!  Call for reservations or check us out on Facebook and KOA.com.

To celebrate our 2010 camping season come join us for the KOA Care Camps May 14 & 15.  This is a fundraising weekend for kids with cancer to go to camps.  You pay for Friday night and Saturday night is free.  We will have an ice cream social and other activities.  Hope you can join us.
